The September General Meeting of the Whitwick and District u3a will be on Friday 18th September 2026 – commencing 2.00pm at Whitwick Methodist Church, 10 Hall Lane, Coalville, LE67 5FD (Whitwick end of Hall Lane) This month’s talk is about “Leicester Musical Memory Box” by Christina Birby This not-for-profit organisation delivers and facilitates interactive singing and music based sessions for dementia and Alzheimer sufferers to stimulate and activate memory whilst promoting overall wellbeing of all attending. The u3a is aimed at people who are retired or semi-retired. It is about having fun and socialising by meeting new people with a common interest. We have over 40 different groups including crafts, eating out, sports, walks, fun choir, history, gardening, quiz, line dancing, days out and theatre trips.
