Caroline Bendix is an accredited freelance library conservator with 40 years’ experience that includes work in many National Trust libraries. Caroline provides insight into the reasons for book conservation, how this is done, and finding the balance between reading and preservation for scholars of the future. 7pm for tea & coffee for a 7:30pm start at Breedon Parish Hall, Priory Close, Breedon-on-the-Hill DE73 8LF. Doug has been gardening since he was a child. he trained as a horticulturist, working in the industry before spending 20 years in horticultural education. He is now an author, a senior examiner and professional associate with the RHS and a horticulture business consultant. He co-presents a garden phone in show on BBC radio Humberside and is a popular speaker. Doug is a self confessed plant nerd. Doug will be reminiscing on gardening methods of bygone years. Visit any settlement in the land and there will be ancient buildings hidden in plain sight. Behind a Victorian façade is a Tudor house. Underneath a Georgian frontage is a mediaeval cottage. Wildegoose Nursery - Over The Years & Through The Seasons

Jack and Laura Wilgoss run a small independent nursery and garden housed within the old brick walls of a former kitchen garden, nestled in the beautiful Shropshire Hills. They started as specialist growers of hardy perennial viola but their range now encompasses many flowering perennials and grasses. Jack will be joining us to tell us the story of the nursery.
