Autumn Gift Fair

Join us for our annual Autumn Gift Fair We have sourced over 70 different stalls - running over two weekend - selling a range of local goods, gifts and much more for you to enjoy this Autumn. 2026 Pumpkin Patch Back again from the 10th of October we our Pumpkin patch & Spooky trail Experience. Bring the family down to pick your pumpkin from our patch and take advantage of the fun photo points, before taking a wonder through our spooky trail. Suitable for children of all ages with mini wheelbarrows and pumpkins of all sizes. This event is partially outdoors, so sensible footwear is advised along with gloves for handling the pumpkins.
Halloween History Hunt

Search the site for ten Halloween traditions and learn the history behind them £3 per sheet, pick one up from the Ticket Office or Shop
Pumpkin Posies
When 20th October, 10:30am - 3pm
Join Dr Pumpkin and his friends for some Halloween crafts and games in our ancient manor. You will have the chance to create a beautiful flower arrangement inside a pumpkin, make a traditional corn amulet to protect you from evil spirits, as well as playing a frightfully fun spooky board game! Come dressed in your best Halloween costume – there are prizes to be won! All materials are included. There are two sessions running: 10:30am – 12pm & 1:30pm – 3pm £6 per child, pre-booking is essential.
Ruffle Remembers: Storytelling and Remembrance Day Workshop
When 21st October, 11am - 3pm
Join Ruffle the Rail Dog and his friends as they embark on their latest adventure! There are two sessions running: 11am – 12:30pm & 1:30pm – 3pm Learn about the incredible role Airedale Terriers, just like Ruffle, played in WW1 and how purple poppies help us to remember all animals in war. Then take part in Remembrance Day themed crafts where you will be able to make your own purple poppy to display on a life-sized model of Ruffle! Copies of Ruffle’s books will be available to purchase on the day. £5 per child. Pre-booking is essential.

Little Horrors' Mash

Join us for a frightfully fun Halloween disco & Fancy Dress Competition for little monsters aged 3-9 yrs old! This event is suitable for 3-9 years old but older children are always welcome. Cost: £5 per child*. Adults and under 3s go free with a paying child. *All children must be accompanied by an Adult.

Discover how the family that lived in the 1620s House were connected to it. SPOILER! Their nephew, Sir Everard Digby, was hung, drawn, and quartered for his part in it! See the story of the Plot unfold through a series of short scenarios through our house and grounds. Learn about the properties of gunpowder with our re-enactors and see examples of a 17th century cannon and muskets being fired. BEWARE the...

Christmas Grotto

A magical journey awaits you starting in the Arctic for a Snowball Adventure with the Snow Elves. Then step into Mrs Claus' crafting shed for a fun-filled activity before a meet and greet with the man himself... Santa! Receive a special present from the Elves workshop to take home, and there's even something for a adults too! This is a multi-room Christmas experience to fill you with festive joy!
Playful Elves Workshop
When 28th November, 11am - 1pm
Some excited elves have fallen behind with their work schedule and need your help to get back on track! Help the elves search the 1620s House for the materials needed to make some magical festive gifts – and take part in their games and activities whilst you do – then head to the barn to complete a range of Christmas crafts. The elves will then tell you a Christmas Story before you take part in a magical snowball fight! £15 per child, pre-booking essential.
